Education is a fundamental aspect of Cricket Development in Europe. Education plays an important role in developing participation and performance programmes. The aim of the European Education Programme is to develop people's understanding of cricket and develop them to deliver their role(s).
The European Education Programme is built upon a number of specific education programmes:
Coach Education - Coach Education is based on a player centered environment which focuses on the need of the player and to ensure that the coach has the correct understanding and knowledge to develop the player.
Officials Education – Official Education is based on developing Officials and also Umpires.
Cricket Administration Programme (CAP) – The CAP Programme is about developing people's understanding on the role of administration and the importance of developing these aspects in each country.
Ground and Facility Education – The Ground and Facility Programme is a new to the European Education Programme. At the moment the aim is to create awareness and develop understanding on the importance of good facilities and good grounds. Over the next year ICC Europe will be working with a number of different partners to formalise a ground and facility education programme.
