Regional Development Manager

Nick Pink

Nick joined ICC Europe as Regional Development Manager in December 2011, after two and a half years working at UK Sport. Nick has worked in sport and physical education for over 10 years with experience within many UK bodies, the Commonwealth, and alongside several national and international sports associations including cricket, netball, rugby, athletics and football. Nick has plenty of event experience having recently facilitated a meeting of the Commonwealth Sports Ministers at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and he has worked very closely with European Union and the United Nations in the delivery and implementation of their sports strategies.

Nick is passionate about cricket having represented the English counties of Kent and Sussex at junior levels. When given the time Nick still continues to play and coach cricket and is a keen hockey player who likes to keep fit having completed his first marathon in 2011.

Responsible for:
* Delivering the ICC European Development Programme
* Managing 8 regional development staff and several consultants
* Managing & preparing annual Europe budget
* Reviewing and Developing ICC Regional Operational Plan for Europe
* Monitoring Member countries, ensuring that criteria for membership are met
* Day-to-day communication with member country personnel
* Overseeing and signing-off Country Operational Planning, Budgeting & Reporting
* Secretariat to the European Cricket Advisory Committee and European Cricket Committee
* Managing the regional tournament structure



Regional Performance Officer

Philip was first employed in cricket through a Sussex CCC junior scholarship, based at Arundel Castle.

Having represented Sussex CCC 2nd XI throughout the season, he accepted a place on the MCC Young Professionals scheme in April 1995.

Over the next 5 seasons with the MCC YCs, he gained a Distinction in Leisure and Tourism GNVQ Advanced Level and obtained his ECB Coach, Senior and Advanced coaching awards. He has since gained his ECB Level 3 award and is currently an ECB Staff Tutor and Assessor for Levels 1 & 2.

For two winters he was employed in Australia as captain/coach for Ashburton CC in Melbourne and has also represented Nottinghamshire 2nd XI.

Before finishing with the MCC YCs, he worked in the MCC Indoor School, and then moved to Gibraltar to become their Cricket Development Officer in April 2000, a role which included the introduction of the schools coaching and coach education programmes.

Philip holds the ECB Level 4 Award.



Regional Development Officer

Chris Porter

Chris joined the ICC in 2010 having spent the last four years as Cricket Development Officer with Derbyshire and Leicestershire. During his time at Derbyshire and Leicestershire, Chris was responsible for facility development, workforce development, strategic planning, and player development.

In addition to this, he was also involved in the Emerging Players Programme and also the Derbyshire Disabled Cricket Club. Chris is also involved with the England's Visually Impaired Team as Head Coach and also is an active ECB Tutor and Assessor. He has a 1st Class Hons Degree and Higher National Diploma in Sport Studies.

* Implementing Regional Funding Support activities up to Level 3
* Managing Coach Education Programme development
* Managing Groundmanship Education Programme
* Educate & assist member countries to improve and/or establish advanced development pathways for youth players
* Managing the organisation & operation of European Centre of Excellence
* Tournament Director for ICC Europe tournaments
* Managing ICC European Coaches Association



Regional Project Officer

Louise joined the ICC as Regional Project Officer in April 2004. Prior to this she held administrative roles at the BBC and CBS Records before joining the National Cricket Association at Lord?s in 1989, which later merged with the TCCB to become the ECB in 1997. Louise has undertaken a variety of roles in cricket administration and before joining the ICC, Louise?s role in the Performance Department at the ECB consisted of organising all aspects of the England youth sides development programme of incoming and outgoing tours and coaching programmes for boys and girls at U13 to U19 levels. Louise holds a BA Hons degree in English.

* Administering European tournament structure including management of the travel process
* Managing player eligibility & squad registration process for all ICC European tournaments
* ? Managing ICC Europe calendar of events including European Presidents? Day & Governance & Administration Conference
* Servicing ICC Europe Governance structure, including European Cricket Advisory Committee, European Cricket Committee and the appointment of representatives
* Managing and developing Europe contacts Database and online event registration system



Regional Project and Communications Officer

Mary joined the ICC team in January 2010 after working for the previous 12 months as Media Assistant for the England and Wales Cricket Board on the ICC World Twenty20 England 09 and in Corporate Communications. Working as a member of the tournament team she was responsible for promoting and marketing the international tournament, media managing the media overflow area and organising a ticket promotion event.

Mary holds a BA(Hons) degree in Sport Journalism. In which she undertook experience in new media at Wasps RFC, Television Production at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships and on the sports desk at the News of the World newspaper. Mary is a keen sports fan and enjoys travel.

Responsible for:
* Manage and update the ICC Europe website and social media networks, providing content for each
* Produce monthly e-newsletter, and assist with other internal newsletters
* Produce and distribute media releases
* Coordinate all communications and media publicity around all ICC Europe events and tournaments
* Design and proof all tournament brochures
* Management of ICC Europe and ICC brands
* Help coordinate corporate hospitality for partners, suppliers and stakeholders
* Coordinating and implement the European Women's Academy
* Help with tournament resources distribution

Karoline joined the ICC team in January 2009 after three years with sports software company siliconcoach where one of her main accounts was providing technical and training services to the ECB, MCC, and ICC Europe.

Karoline holds a Masters degree in Sports Biomechanics and previously held sports research roles at Adidas Sports Medicine and Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand. On moving to the UK she worked on a number of web projects at the National Sports Medicine Institute followed by Great Ormond Street Hospital before returning to her sports biomechanics roots with siliconcoach. A keen sports fan, Karoline chooses to participate in less traditional sports; she can be found playing touch rugby or ultimate frisbee whenever the London weather allows.

* Internal projects and initiatives for women's cricket development.
* Procurement and distribution of ICC Europe tournament equipment and resources.
* Co-ordination of ICC Regional Development Awards and European Volunteers Scheme.
* Servicing of ICC Europe Commercial Partners & Suppliers, corporate hospitality and partner events.
* ICC Europe marketing and promotional resources.
* Video analysis services at performance events.

* Administration of ICC's Developing Cricket World funding policy in Europe:
o Review/analysis of Member compliance to all funding requirements, incl operational planning & budgeting
o Review of Member activity through quarterly reports comparing to agreed plans and budgets
o Verification / reconciliation of Member financial reports against audited annual accounts
* Coordination of ICC's Research collection process
* Coordination of ICC's Membership Guidelines review
* Coordinate Associate and Affiliate Membership applications
* Support and educate Members in key administration areas such as financial management, data management and internal information processes
* Support member countries in the coordination & planning of ICC Cricket Administrator Education Programme (CAP)



Regional Accounts Officer

Denise was first employed at Lords Cricket Ground in March 2000, dividing her time between Marylebone Cricket Club and ICC European Development Programme. Due to the arrival of a little daughter in 2005 she now works from home on a part-time basis, dealing with ICC Europe accounts.


Responsible for:
* Administration of the day-to-day accounts of ICC Europe
* Registering & paying invoices, expenses & travel claims
* Maintaining records of key country financial information, budgets & reports
* Processing Europe Office financial reports for ICC head office
* Ensuring all financial documentation/practices are in line with ICC Financial Policies



Regional Umpires Consultant

Graham is a member of the ECB Association of Cricket Officials, having previously been a full member of ACU&S since 1983 and is an ECB ACO Instructor. He was appointed ECC Umpire Consultant in Dec 2001 and has been working with the ICC European Development Programme since its inception in 1997 and has run courses in a variety of countries including Italy, Portugal, Norway, France, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Bulgaria, Jersey, Estonia, Cyprus, Switzerland, Malta, Netherlands, and Slovenia. Graham designed and wrote the ICC Europe Introductory Umpire Course and Examination and in conjunction with the ACU&S helped design and write the ACU&S GL6 Course and Exam and subsequently the ECB ACO Level 1 & 1a Courses and exams.He was co-author of the book 'Tom Smith's New Cricket Umpiring and Scoring' which was the "umpires' bible" from 2004 - 2011.He also designed and wrote the ICC Europe Introductory Scorer Course and Exam, which is now used extensively throughout Europe.Graham umpires regularly throughout the cricket season covering a full range of matches from schools, County age-group, club cricket, MCC matches, women?s club and women?s County cricket. Has had the honour of standing in a Women's Test Match (vs. South Africa) and several Women's ODI's and International T20 matches. He has umpired in several countries outside of Europe - Barbados, South Africa, Kenya, Sri Lanka and Antigua, Nevis and St.Kitts.

* Managing & administering other Education - courses, seminars, conferences & boundary assessments at events
* Editor of European Umpire Newsletter 'Signals'

* Maintaining & updating Tournament Regulations, Participating / Host Nation & Officials Agreements
* Administering the ICC European Officials Selection Committee
* Managing ICC European Officials Association
* Maintaining regular liaison with ECB ACO for the benefit of European Umpires & Scorers
