Samoa are the Pepsi ICC East Asia-Pacific Division 2 champions after a commanding 9 wicket victory over the Philippines in the final at the Garden Ovals in Apia on Friday.

After several flight cancellations and significant lost luggage, all six participating teams in the Pepsi ICC East Asia-Pacific Division 2 Trophy have finally touched down in Samoa ready for the tournament that kicks off tomorrow.

The Philippines national cricket side regrouped this afternoon to level the ledger against the Fijian sides with a 40-run win against Nadi at Central College in Lautoka.
