The ICC Africa Division 3 event has faced its first challenge with news that the Moroccan national team was ordered off the plane in Doha, en route to Malawi, after officials refused to accept the visa documentation provided.

The Local Organising Committee announced at the pre-tournament meeting, in Malawi, that the Moroccan team has been given till Saturday night to arrive. However the travel logistics for the team to travel from Casablanca to Blantyre would suggest that this would not be possible.

With the exclusion of the Moroccan from the tournament, the technical committee upheld the motion from the pre-tournament meeting, that the teams will receive a 'walk over' result for the Morocco game and receive the two points for the win.
