ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be the 11th edition of the tournament and will be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

The tournament is expected to take place in February and March 2015, although specific dates and venues will be announced in due course. 14 teams will take part in the tournament.

Australia and New Zealand jointly hosted the tournament in 1992, widely regarded as one of the most successful editions of the event in history.

Most recently, Australia hosted the ICC Women's World Cup in 2009, while New Zealand hosted the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup in 2010.

The tournament logo was unveiled in Mumbai on 2 April 2011.

Each element of the logo contributes to building the story of the ICC's flagship event featuring the best players in the world competing for The Cup That Counts.

The selected motifs are:

  • Maori Tohora symbolizing toughness, pride and tribal culture
  • Aboriginal journey tracks symbolising spirit of the land
  • Balarinji based the motifs on interpretations of FutureBrand's creative brief signifying toughness, glory, resilience, connection and belonging.
